Our vision

It is our vision to create fashion that impacts our Earth and its people in as little way as possible. Conscious fashion is good for the soul and it’s about time we all came together to drive change.

Our WHY is to be able to celebrate exotic locations through our travel-inspired prints and pieces, without impacting on the future of those locations and its people. Embracing new destinations, communities, cultures and adventures forms the foundation for a lot of what we do at Forsoul The Label. We want to minimise our impact and preserve the future of these places as best we can.

Our ultimate goal is to help drive change within the textile industry so that a new universal standard is reached.

Our Commitment

Supply Chain Transparency

We believe we have a responsibility to have full transparency and accountability throughout our supply chain. We require our supply chain to adhere to our code of conduct and production standards, which addresses our environmental impact, animal welfare and social impact. We aim to foster relationships with our suppliers and their affiliates, so that we can work toward sharing a vision of reaching full sustainability and ethical practices. This has proven to be a huge task and we are working toward this continuously. We will continually be updating you on our journey toward this.

Eco-Friendly Fibres

We are committed to using and exploring the most environmentally friendly fabrics we can. Our garments are currently made with rayon, which is a 100% renewable plant-based fibre made from regenerated wood pulp. This biodegradable cellulose fibre has a silk-like drape to it and uses half the energy to produce than cotton. However, when cellulose fibres are produced from uncertified sources, it may result in harmful deforestation. We have made it a goal to continue exploring other biodegradable fibres that are sustainable, whilst not sacrificing on fabric quality

Social Advocacy

We are proud to have a global family and believe in supporting those who may not have easy access to the global marketplace. Social advocacy upholds and defends the rights of people in a community who are not afforded the same opportunities, due to disadvantage or discrimination. We believe in global citizenship and strive to support marginalised people, promote social inclusion and community awareness.

Pre-Loved Fashion

We encourage our pieces to be reused and recycled by swapping, handing down or up cycling. During the production process, we strive to ensure our pieces have the potential to be loved for many years to come.

Dyes and Printing

It is our goal to use the most environmentally friendly textile dyes to create our signature prints. We are proud to use Dystar Inks, who are the leading sustainability supplier in the textile industry. Their textile dyes are non-toxic, eco-friendly and comply with legal requirements of REACH, C2C, GOTS, IPPC and CPSIA.

Giving Back

We have partnered with One Tree Planted to help combat deforestation, and will plant one tree for every sale made (no matter how small).

Foot Print

We want to make our environmental cost known to our customers, so that we can journey toward minimising our footprint with optimal transparency. We are committed to creating initiatives within our supply chain to minimise water, waste and energy consumption.

Our People

Forsoul The Label’s vision is very much foundational on celebrating and learning about the different ways the world works. Our team have undergone exceptional growth, learnt many life lessons and had great adventures through exploring other cultures and destinations. We owe this not only to the incredible places we’ve been inspired by, but more so by the amazing people.

We are committed to breaking down barriers of unethical work practices in the textile industry, so that a universal standard of working conditions can be reached

We have made it a goal to continue exploring other biodegradable fibres that are kinder to our planet, without sacrificing on fabric quality.

We are proud to use Dystar Inks, who are the leading sustainability supplier in the textile industry. Their textile dyes are non-toxic, eco-friendly and comply with legal requirements of REACH, C2C, GOTS, IPPC and CPSIA.

Packaging

Our packaging is simple. Our garments are carefully packed into eco-friendly drawstring bags (please re-use) and then shipped in our biodegradable and compostable shipping bags. We use Better Packaging Co. and we encourage you to place your bag into the compost as it will break down within 90 days (it’s safe for worms to eat too!).

Waste

We are dedicated to minimising any unnecessary waste and ensure all scrap fabric is turned into headbands, scrunchies or given to our worker’s children for arts and crafts.

Zero Plastic

We say no to plastic, and are forever trying to find more eco-friendly options for our day-to-day needs.
